    Biography

    Birth and Parents

    William was the son of William Mallory and Jane Norton.[1][2] He may have been born in Yorkshire, where his father had his main property.[3][4] He was said to be 23 in 1554, when he was found to be heir of his brother Christopher who died on 23 March 1553/4,[5][6] pointing to a birth date of about 1531.[4]

    William married Ursula Gale, daughter of George Gale[2] of York and Mary Lord.[3]
